In Miss Jarvis' Third Grade classroom students are learning vigorously in multiple ways! We are using technology as a resource for learning in every subject. We also have hands-on activities that are being explored. We build carts to learn about forces and motion, practice trading materials (glue, scissors, construction paper) like Native Americans did to be able to make our own Native American people, and make our own multiplication and division board games, for some examples. We are soaring in reading by using guided reading groups based on individual reading levels to explore different types of books as well as using intensive interventions where needed. We are writing personal narratives, informational pieces, and once upon a time stories. We also spend a lot of time working collaboratively to develop skills in all areas!
